| Growing up in Germany, Matthias developed an appreciation for lederhosen and beer at an early age; sadly, his aversion to David Hasselhoff caused him to move to the US at the age of 18. Having studied Forestry, Culinary Arts, and Hellenistic Religions, he eventually found his way to Beirut, Lebanon. Rejected as “psychologically unfit” by Hezbollah, the Lebanese Army, the French Foreign Legion, and the Illuminati, he made his way to Dubai, the U.A.E., and was forced to resort to freelance photography in 2005. Matthias currently resides with his wife in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he is worshipped by one small dachshund and abused daily by two domineering housecats. His hobbies include red wine and a minor addiction to reading. |
